Boston pays $2.6M to Black police officers who alleged racial bias in hair tests for drug use
The city of Boston has paid $2.6 million to several Black police officers to settle a discrimination lawsuit over a hair test for drug use.
The officers sued the city in 2005, claiming that the hair test was racially biased and resulted in false positives for Black officers.
The settlement ends a long legal battle and compensates the officers for the injustices they faced. [ more ]
